Leviticus 4:26-28

²⁶ All the fat shall be burned upon the altar, just as if it were the fat of the sacrifice of a thank offering;^[a] thus the priest shall make atonement for the leader concerning his sin, and he shall be forgiven.

²⁷ “If any one of the common people sins and doesn’t realize it, he is guilty. ²⁸ But as soon as he does realize it, he is to bring as his sacrifice a female goat without defect to atone for his sin.
